SteelStacks: Bethlehem, PA

One of the largest industrial Brownfields in the nation, the former Bethlehem Steel plant in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, occupied 126 acres of the city, flanked by the Lehigh River and many Southside neighborhoods.  Today the SteelStacks arts and culture campus is transforming  this space using design, arts and cultural programming to activate the campus with music, visual arts, film, arts education, youth programming and cool cultural events. Situated at the base of the iconic blast furnaces, the campus includes the ArtsQuestCenter, a contemporary performing arts center with three live music venues, two cinemas and exhibition space, the Levitt Pavilion outdoor venue, the Town Square and five major pieces of public art.
